Purchased a ticket to Tanzania (Kilimanjaro) on line for $192 (approx R3800). A few days later I decided to purchase a return ticket, but unfortunately due to load shedding my computer crashed,
although my bank asked for authorization to release funds. I presumed that all was in order and
decided to check with the airport office on the day of my forward journey, as it was totally impossible
to get through on the telephone (011 3261190 ). I was told that I could not board the plane unless i
has a return ticket. I went to the ticket office at the airport and was advised that the ticket has not gone
through and if i wanted a return ticket the cost will be R8,800. ( Approx two and a half times more than what i paid for my forward journey. i understand that you have certain costs at the ticket office at the airport but this increase is in my humble opinion a rip off. I was advised by your consultant to try another airline and i got a cheaper fare with airlink. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
They should have given me the ticket for the price i paid on the internet as you have failed me by
not answering the phones at your call center (and i promise you it is not for my lack of trying) .
Made 6 calls and every time it is the same all our agents are busy and then you wait for between
10 and 15 minutes and the line goes DEAD.
---AND BY THE WAY THE PRICE OF TICKETS AT AIRLINK IS THE SAME WHETHER YOU BUY
IT ON LINE OR AT THE AIRPORT OFFICE.
