My complaint:
We planned our 2nd Cruise with Emerald Waterways for Jewels of the Rhine through our travel agent Travel Best Bets in Vancouver, BC. It was cancelled due to COVID. We also paid $125 each for cancellation insurance, which for some reason was not covered.
We paid a $1,000 deposit that apparently, Emerald was able to hold onto for 3 years – what the heck??? Finally when the 3 yrs. was up, I contacted Emerald and they said that no refund was due to us. I then called our travel agent and she arranged for our deposit to be returned in the amount of $1,250 – should it not be $1,375? This was Aug. 14, 2023 and we are still awaiting this deposit. Can you please expedite this as we are going into our 4th year. We are senior citizens. Thank you for remedying this before we go to local TV with this problem through Claire Newell. Details in the photo below.
