My complaint:
The Econo Lodge Downtown at 715 W North Temple St, Salt Lake City, UT 84116 is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The TV didn’t work, there was no internet, the front door was kicked in and broken, the coffee machine was missing parts and didn’t work, there was a plastic bag taped over and hanging from the fire detector, the furniture was broken, the toilet wouldn’t flush, the room was dirty, and the linens were dirty.
I arrived at the hotel late at night and was immediately greeted by the broken front door. I was hesitant to go inside, but I was tired and needed a place to sleep. The lobby was dark and dingy, and the clerk behind the counter was rude and unhelpful.
I checked into my room and was immediately disappointed. The room was small and cramped, and the furniture was old and beat up. The bed was uncomfortable, and the sheets were dirty. The TV didn’t work, and there was no internet access.

I left the hotel as soon as possible and would never recommend it to anyone. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and I would advise anyone to avoid it at all costs.
In addition to the problems I mentioned above, I also noticed that the hotel was in a very unsafe neighborhood. There were homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk outside the hotel, and I felt unsafe walking to and from my car.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is dirty, unsafe, and poorly maintained.
