My complaint:
My family and I stayed at the Economic Lodge in Va Beach. The room was nice and everything appeared to be good until we went to sleep. I woke up itching so I checked the bed and saw that there were bed bugs in the bed. I immediately got my kids up and told them to check their bodies for bites. They had gotten bitten on their face and arms. I got bit on my arm and legs. I called the front desk and told them they had bed bugs and checked out immediately. My money was refunded but I wanted them to compensate me for the inconvenience that they caused me. I ended up leaving from the lodge at 4:30 in the morning to return home because I had no where to stay. My trip was cut short because of them. I asked them for a complimentary stay at another hotel because of what happened and all they wanted to do at Choice Hotels was give points. I am very upset about how this was handled. Who ever I spoke to because I can’t remember the name didn’t care about us getting bite or us infecting my own home with their bugs. No one should have to deal with this. As a customer I am sadden how they had no regards to my families well being. If I was dealing with a compliant of this statue I would have gladly given the customer A free night or 2 at a 5 star hotel due to the situation being the companies fault. I AM HIGHLY PISSED 😡 . I have pictures and a video that I will be sharing. I Will BE HEARD!!
Suggested solution:
They should give me a free 2 day and 2 night stay at a 5 star hotel because I had to end my trip early . They should also pay for my clothes to be dry cleaned because the bugs can spread
