My complaint:
I purchased a $25 gift card for our granddaughter as a Christmas present. When she went to use it, it did not work. We took the card back to the store and at first tried to tell us they did not sell it. When we showed them the receipt with their phone number and address, they then said they could not help us. When we persisted the manager came and told us, he could not return our money and we should call the 800 number. We called and the representative was very nice and said she would send a note to the store and direct them to give us the $25 we paid. We waited two days to give time for the message to transmit. Upon returning to the store, we asked for the manager and was told he was not in. I asked when he would return and was told they had no idea. They insisted they had no idea what day he would be in (come on!)..I asked to speak to the person in charge and was told no one was in charge and to leave a phone number and eventually someone would call. I reported I had done that before and still no one called.
If this is not resolved without a continued runaround, I will blast my complaint on Next Door and any other local websites I can find. I did warn another customer in the store. I will never use this store again even thought I have bought several cards in the past. Surely the return of $25 is worth their reputation but so far, I guess not. Suggested solution:
Simply and ly without anymore hassles, like being pushed aside to wait on customers who come in after us and told to wait till they were slow, return our $25 to make up for the failed card. It would also be nice to receive an apology. And, I will never bother them again - ever in the future. I promise.
