My complaint:

For my recent DoorDash order, the assigned driver repeatedly lied and refused to deliver to my door. When I told him I can cancel the order if he refuses to delivery to the door as I physically cannot meet him outside the building, the driver responded with an emoji representing “good”. Thereofre I contacted the customer service and was issued store credits before I said anything else, but the driver later delivered the order. When I tried to return the credit for not receiving my order on time, the customer service disrespectfully informed me that they could not take any action and subsequently banned my contactless delivery option. Currently, I am banned from using contactless delivery, leaving me with a problematic option that comes with the rule stating that I may not receive any part of my order or get a refund if I am unavailable to provide my signature at drop-off. As a customer, I believe it’s reasonable to expect the driver to deliver to the precise address I provide, particularly when it includes an apartment number and falls within a time range when they can access the building. Delivery should be convenient, and customers shouldn’t bear the burden of delivery issues. The forceful hand it to me option’s policy unfairly blames the customer in this case and simply transfers driver-related issues’ responsibility to customer. Attached are the chat history between the driver and me. However, I couldn’t find the chat history between the agent as DoorDash deleted it and couldn’t retrieve it.

Suggested solution:

1. Immediately lift the ban on contactless delivery
2. Apologize for the driver's behavior and the inconvenience caused during the delivery process.
