My complaint:

In July of this year, someone in San Antonio Texas was able to request a Direct Express card in my name. They then hacked into my Social Security account and had my direct deposit changed from my bank account to their Direct Express card. After 14 hours on the phone with Social Security, I was finally told I had to deal with Direct Express. This has been a nightmare. I have spent 19 hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue and get my money back. I have filled out all the forms and waited 45 days for a reply. When you do finally speak to someone, their accents are so heavy it is very hard to understand them. I am on hold again now and it has been 2 hours and 18 minutes. I am disabled and the theft of my small monthly payment has been devastating to me.

Suggested solution:

Complete the fraud dispute investigation and refund my money to Social Security so they can reimburse me or send money directly to me.
