My complaint:
On 8 22 2021 I purchased a pair of Adidas cleats for my son. He wasn’t feeling good so that’s why he was not with me at the time to try them on. After I got home my husband was taking out the trash so I gave him the box the shoes came in. A couple days later my son tried on the shoes and they were too tight. I needed to get him one size up. I don’t live close to the town Dick’s is located in so I didn’t take them back right away. On 9 6 2021 I went to return the shoes and they said because I did not have the box they would not refund my money. I said I have the receipt right here and these weren’t even used. The manager said I understand you have the receipt and yes they are clearly brand new but without the box we cannot refund your money. I said no where on the receipt or this big refund policy sign hanging in front of my face here at the cashier does it say you must have the original box or package in order to get a refund. He said there was nothing he could do. I asked for corporate number and called them in the parking lot. Spoke to customer service who took all my information and sent the store an email. She said someone from the store would call me tomorrow 9 7 2021. No one ever called so I contacted customer service again. This time I spoke to a gentleman. He could see my complaint in the system and resent it to the store. Today is 9 12 2021 and still no one has contacted me. Like I mentioned before, no where does it say you need the box in order for a refund. It clearly says you need a receipt which I have.
