My complaint:
Matthew, a young (couldn’t have been older than 21 years old) male cashier was extremely rude. He didn’t speak, didn’t ask if I found everything ok, just proceeded to ring my items up and slam them down on the counter in a noticeably forceful way. I guess all of this was to bring attention to his pink “I love Trump” silicon bracelet on his left wrist. As a patron of Dick’s…I don’t want to see that and shouldn’t be subjected to someone’s political beliefs when I’m purchasing sporting goods. His nasty and hateful attitude was truly the cherry on top. Matthew should not be allowed to wear anything that associates himself with a political affiliation. With racial incitement and tension being praised by Trump, I don’t want to be made to feel uncomfortable by a cashier at Dick’s, too.
Suggested solution:
Make Matthew stop wearing the bracelet or move him to a role not customer-facing.
