My complaint:
We have always frequented Dairy Queen and would like to continue. On March 27, 2023 we stopped at Dairy Queen in Robinson, TX. It was 9:30 pm and we checked on the door before going in to see what time the store would be closing. The closing time on the door said 10:00 pm so we decided to go in and order burgers. The young lady at the counter informed us that the cook was trying to close down the kitchen. The wife and I reminded the young lady it was 30 minutes from closing time you have posted on your door. Her response was we are teenagers just trying to get home. We left without ordering. Totally unacceptable!!! My wife and I were both teenagers that at one time and worked in food service industry and would take a food order from any patron that wanted service prior to closing time, or our manager would either fire us or definitely reprimand us. Why is this acceptable today. NOTE: we have many times not entered a business when it is close to closing time but I don’t believe 30 minutes to closing time is to much to ask for service.
Suggested solution:
Manager should handle this and train employees that they are working for a company that makes its living off of service to patrons of the restaurant.
