My complaint:
Ever since I’ve been here for 5 months the manager Alex has been very rude to me has come up to me when I have had people here to help me move my things in and chase them off scream and yells at me he is not professional whatsoever he is very rude and very disrespectful. There are a lot of people here that run their businesses not out of here but keep their equipment here just like myself. For the first three months I was here there was no motion lights when you came in the hallways of these places and no lights at all outside of the complex and the gate did not close. Now the gate closes but all you have to use is a code that they give everybody the first two numbers and put any four numbers in after that and the pound sign and you can get into this gate anytime night or day. He’s made several comments to other people here that they have 24-hour access which I don’t know how that is because this isn’t a 24-hour access facility. He says I was loitering how my ordering when I am bringing all of my things from one storage to the other because my car got stolen I have to do it on a bicycle it took me almost a month to make that happen. Then he refused to rent me another storage when there was one empty across from mine because I had to move my furniture out of my house and had no place to put it so I put my furniture in the one across the hallway from me and left a note and the red locked it and kept me from getting my things for almost a week. I called the district manager at least eight times spoke with him only twice every time he said he would get back with me he never did. Now the other night I was here 10 minutes after closing time because my code opened the gate after hours how was I supposed to know that the code worked at any time night or day that’s how I found out he comes here threatening to call the police on me screaming and yelling at me like I’m some criminal and then proceeds to give me again another 10-day notice to leave here. There is no way that I can move things out of both of these storages to another place without a vehicle in 10 days. He is completely harassing me for no reason when there isn’t anybody else in this complex that isn’t doing anything other than what I’m doing and he doesn’t give them any trouble whatsoever. I feel this is the case of harassment 100% and I feel that he should be transferred to another facility or remove from this company because he does not have the ability to be a property manager whatsoever. I have had my business for 14 years now I am licensed bonded and insured a lot more than some of these people at this complex and I feel that it’s because I am a woman because he does not like women it’s obvious. There’s also a lot of shady stuff going on here with people’s storages and how they’re supposed to go up for auction they put yellow locks on him then they let people go inside of the storage and pick out things in route through it and then they put red locks on it and then they take everything away and throw it away. I know this is not how auction works at a storage unit and these people are ripping off these clients that can’t afford to come get their things right away. I feel that the district manager is not doing his job by coming here and checking things out and I do not feel that I have to move because I’m not doing anything more than anybody else in this complex.
Suggested solution:
First of all I was here for 3 months and had no lights and that's a breach of contract so I feel that I should get all of that money back in rental for another 3 months plus the unit that I got that they didn't let me pay for since there's a bridge of contract I believe that they should have to give me that also. And I don't feel that I should have to move just because this manager doesn't know how to handle himself professionally. I lost over $1,000 in wages because he locked me out of my storages just because he didn't want to rent me one I want that money back $1800.00
