My complaint:

My name is Charity Robinson and will like to make a complaint about a transaction that was taking off my Government Assistant Kemp debit card on December 23, 2022. On December 23rd, I recently visited the Circle K gas station in Soperton, Ga to purchase $30 with my Government Assistant Kemp card but it was decline by the cashier (Deborah) after attempting 3 times and end of paying with my own personal bank debit card for $25 for gas. The time of this transaction is around 2:35pm-2:37pm (you can see proof in the forward email attachments. The next day, December 24th, 2022, I called the Circle K gas station in Soperton to report to them that $90 transaction was taken off my Gov’t Assistant Kemp debit card without my knowledge and the staff assure me to give it a few days (24-48 hrs) before the money is returned back on my card. On December 25th, I check to see if I received a refund and it was still the same and I called the Circle K gas station in Soperton again and spoke with the store manager, Anthony. Mr. Anthony reassures me that if the money is not returned by Wednesday, on Dec 28th , 2022, he will be sure to give me my refund as long as I showed proof of the transactions that happened on December 23rd, 2022.

As of December 28th, I drove 80 miles from Macon, GA to Soperton, GA to speak with the manager, Mr. Anthony about a refund that was never returned on my Gov’t Assistant Kemp card after waiting 5 days. When I arrive at the Circle K gas station in Soperton again, Mr. Anthony was out of the building for the day and weekend according to the 2 African American staff employees. One of the employees call him via phone to informed him about the matter (which he already knew because I spoke with him earlier from Sunday) and he told me to call the number from the debit card and the district division. The Gov’t Cash Assistance debit card number never had anyone from customer service to speak about the matter – the phone call just ends after it takes you through the phone step by step. Furthermore, I file a complaint again on the Circle K website and called the South Atlantic Division number and no representative responded – just have to leave a message twice.

As of today, December 29th, 2022, I called the Circle K gas station to speak with Mr. Anthony. The staff informed me that he just left for the day. However, I was extremely pissed because it’s coming to another holiday weekend and I only got $3.99 remaining on my Gov’t Assistant Kemp Card. I demanded that his staff to give me his personal number so I can speak with him about this matter immediately because I plan to visit the Circle K gas station in Soperton Saturday and it will not be a friendly matter. I sent him a message and showed him proof the transactions and he told me via phone that he only saw $30 instead of $90….but told me that I can called him back to discuss the matter and hope that it will be resolved soon because I had done everything on my end and showed the store manager Mr. Anthony my proof, showed it to the staff employees at Circle K gas station in Soperton, and now I’m attaching it via email to the corporate.

All I ask is just the money be returned to my Gov’t Assistant Kemp Card or refund me back in cash. I had showed the staff and manager proof of these transactions and they all seem to be playing dumb. If I do not have the $90 returned to me, there will be a major lawsuit.

Have a nice day and Happy New Year!

Suggested solution:
