Circle K complaint: Poor Customer Service

My complaint:

On 8-16-2023 at around 3:20 pm I stopped at the Circle K in Lancaster,SC to purchase gas. When I used my debit card at the pump, I received an error message saying K90 chip card please see cashier. I tried another debit card as well as a credit card and I received the same error message. After several attempts, I went inside the store to see a cashier. When I told the cashier about my ordeal, she said that there was nothing that she could do. Her exact words were, I’m sorry honey there’s nothing I can do, if it said it out there it’s gonna say it in here. The clerk did not even bother to scan my card at the register to see if my card would read. I had to drive to another gas station 5 miles away to purchase gas and my card worked fine. This is a poor excuse for customer service. I hope that no one else receives the same treatment that I experienced! Customer service is not what it use to be. If this keeps ups up, you will loose a lot of loyal customers.

Suggested solution:

An apology. Also some customer service training need to be provided.
