My complaint:
I am a recent victim of the Cash App scam. Someone claiming to work for cash app called my phone stating my account was frozen. They then directed me to download an app giving them access to my phone so they could unfreeze the account. Long behold it was a scam, They had stolen $1500 removed all my info from my cash app account and locked me out of it. After realizing what had just happened I contacted cash app to make them aware of the situation and also to have my account closed to prevent it from happening again. Two days later I received an email back stating that they had concluded their investigation, ed it was hacked and to have a great day. I was livid to say the least. I then find out that I was not being paid from my work because they had issued three direct deposits to my cash app account.
Suggested solution:
The cash app i feel should have reimbursed me for the money stolen out my account. Worst case scenario they should have closed my account. That would have prevented my direct deposits from going thru. I now feel that they owe me for the deposits that went into the account for they are responsible for it happening
