My complaint:

I sent money to an unemployed friend for groceries. She had changed her cash app name. However, the money went through to this old inactive account. I requested a refund from said account. I don’t know how money can go through to an account that no longer exists. She cannot access to account at all to send me back the money. I have contacted Cash App only to be met with a rude service agent via Twitter who essentially told me I needed to be more careful. After I called out their rudeness, gaslighting and general lack of empathy, I was told someone would respond in 24 hours. It’s been 48 and no response. I tried to access their customer service via telephone only to be met with scam artists. When I finally found the correct number which is NO WHERE on their app, they refer you back to THEIR APP. This is the most awful customer service a bank, Sutton Bank backs Cash App, I have ever had. They have no integrity at all because they know there is no way to truly contact them and hold them accountable.
