My complaint:
I sold 2 watches for a total of $725 and tried to receive payment through Cashapp who then told me I need to purchase a $100 eBay gift card to upgrade account before I could receive funds. Purchased the gift card and emailed pictures. Cashapp then told me they will verify info and I will be credited shortly. It has been 2 days now and no one responds to my email. They are holding my money!!
Suggested solution:
Issue me the money owed ASAP
Cash App themselves didn’t tell you to buy a gift card. It was scammers masquerading as Cash App.
You won’t be getting your money back, and make sure you’re selling items under a Cash Business account. Or else you risk getting your account closed for selling items on a a Cash Personal account.
