My complaint:
I purchased the policy for my 76 year old mother, so she would not have to worry about high dollar repairs. For that peace of mind which they use to market their company as having. Purchased the best policy for her. Needless to say her car has been at the mechanic’s for three weeks. Still awaiting authorization to begin the work. The first two weeks my Mom had to pay out of pocket to Uber to and from work. The third week they authorized a rental for one week. They wont extend her rental car coverage even though the company has delayed the claims process. The company is arguing with my trusted mechanic who has worked on the car since I have owned it, over prices for parts and labor. To which I have to pay for out of pocket.
My mechanic and I don’t want to use their parts because they are unwarranted. So because I won’t use their parts they won’t extended by rental another week. So next week it will be one month since my car has been sitting at the mechanics. She can’t afford paying Uber another week to get to and from work. So without transportation, she will lose her job and still be without a vehicle over over a month. They want her to pay upfront the deductible on the policy and the out of pocket expenses for the parts and labor before they will authorize the work. Pretty ironic that I purchased the policy for her because of these reasons.
Suggested solution:
Extend the rental car coverage another week so she has transportation to get to and from work so she won\'t lose her job.
As of 7/8/23, she is still without a vehicle. Almost six weeks now. No payments have been made to mechanic and spoke with a supervisor and she said there is nothing that they can do. I have filed complaints with the BBB, the company itself, and whoever will listen.
Please, please don’t purchase a policy from this company. I would hate what happened to my 76 year old mother to happen to anyone else especially a senior citizen. Safe yourself a big hassle.
