My complaint:
Though having an 812 Credit Wise TransUnion score on February 17,2022 at the time of requesting a Capital One Rewards credit card I was refused – even though I also graded at 100% for paying my bills on time. Talking to a Capital One representative I was told I would receive an email explanation which arrived the next day. The explanation was a form letter telling me to go back to Credit Wise to learn ‘how to improve my 812 score! With no valid reason yet given for rejecting my application I’m left believing that the rejection was solely age-related considering that I am senior citizen – a distinct violation of federal law.
Suggested solution:
Without delay issue me the Capital One Venture One card which carries no transaction fees.
