My complaint:
recently my wife bought the 40 piece set of routers at another Canadian Tire store and tried to return them un-used to the CT store at Leitrim road in Finley Creek Ottawa because the Big Red Sale had them on for $40 less than we paid for the item. The manager in charge told us that the item was bought over 3 weeks ago therefore could not be returned when we checked the bill it indicate that we bought the item 2 week and 4 days ago. We were then told that the item was not in it original wrapper the only thing that was missing was the cellophane that went over the package. We said we would buy the returned item back at the sale price therefore did not care about the missing cellophane. They would not take it so off we went to another CT and got the sale price.
This is not the only problem I have had with this store, Their customer service is terrible and I think their staff are told not to take any merchandise back at all costs. We will not be using this store again and will tell anyone that that listens about our experience in this store.
Suggested solution:
They should have done what the other store we went did and give us the sale price for this item
