My complaint:
On 28th of December 2021, I bought and installed a Motomaster battery (sn 0158664) at Canadian Tire Store 0288, on 9909 178 street. First week in April, the battery drained totally after about 2 days without running it.
I boosted and ensured no other issue could have been responsible for the drain. The battery drained again on May 2nd 2022. So, I took the car back to the store. I was shocked to learn that I have to pay another 73 dollars my inconvenience, before they can take a look at the car! I paid and was informed there was nothing wrong with my car or the battery! This is not good enough, as a customer, I should not be made to bear the cost of diagnosing a faulty product I purchased from the store! I believe my car and the battery should have been checked (without any initial cost to me). If they discover that the fault is not from the battery, then they can proceed to ask me to pay.
Suggested solution:
I think the diagnostic cost (73 dollars) was wrongly and prematurely charged to me! and I want the money refunded. Today I came back with my car, (ford edge-plate number: CGG 4640) and nothing changed! So essentially, 73 dollars was collected from me, the fault they could not locate! The battery not changed!
