My complaint:
I live in Mesquite Tx and my daughter wanted an ice cream cone. So we got up and went to this Braum’s because I like (liked) the service as well as the food. We got there at 10:29 pm Sunday night 372021. The line had about 5 cars and we were in the street waiting for the line to move. It was moving very slow but we waited. So we Finally get up to the speaker and before I could say anything, they spoke on the microphone I’m sorry but we are now closed. We close at 10:45 I replied I know you do but I have been in line since 10:29. Again they repeated the same thing. Again I said a bit more loudly that I had been in line well before closing time, and all I wanted was an ice cream cone for my daughter. Again I know he was trying to so call Not Escalate the situation, but by then I was totally upset. I replied, You mean after I have been in line for 15 minutes Before your closing time that you can’t get me an ice cream cone? He just kept repeating the same lame line and said it’s not his fault the line was long. But if the customer is in line well before closing time to purchase from your business, it only makes sense that you serve that customer. I am a very kind and understanding person, but that just pushed it a lot for me. The line was barely moving and IF the time cut off was something standard in business, then they should have come out to make sure of the last customer to be served. We were in line in plenty of time. But just because the service was for some really very slow it caused us to get up to the speaker at 10:45 pm. You bet I got pissed off and yeah I shouted and spit fire as this has never happened before. This was totally wrong and unprofessional of your business. I am not a social media person as I am old school but this needs to be resolved or I will reach out to my son’s friend on social media who do have a great amount of members and put this on public blast. I am no kid and at 64 years old I have been around a while. This needs to be taken care of.
Suggested solution:
Make sure you read and take the complaint seriously and change whatever procedure you have for near closing time, or create a procedure so you don't have a customer come all the way from one town to another to their Favorite Braum's store only to be refused service when I am in the right. If I were a manager or anyone in the upper level I would make this a point of business. This does matter. And just to make things right for my daughter you should send her a coupon for a free double scoop of cookie dough ice cream on a cone. Your employees way of handling this caused me to act a way I don't normally behave around my daughter. But I was just so mad at the situation. Do the right thing. And let me know you heard me and read this. I don't like being ignored. Thank you.
