Booking.com complaint: Pet friendly hotel but no pets allowed

My complaint:

I booked a reservation for Sleep Inn and Suites in Galveston, TX for May 7-8 for pet friendly. We arrived there at 3:30pm. When we got there I asked what the pet fee was and front desk abruptly told me dogs are not allowed and that I would be fine $150 if we stayed with her. I have used this site for over 10 yrs and never had an issue when I searched for pet friendly hotels. Not only did I not get to stay with my pet I was also charged the $184 room charge for not cancelling 24 hrs ahead of time. I explained to the RUDE lady behind the counter that I have stayed at Sleep Inn and Suites across the US and they were pet friendly. She said the owner of this one does not allow pets but the Motel 6 does. I was able to find a room at Candlewood suites for $250 $75 pet fee. When I looked for pet friendly hotels on this site, both hotels came up pet friendly. I am so disappointed

Suggested solution:

I would like to be reimbursed for at least 12 my money for the room due to mis information.
