BMO Bank complaint: Mortgage mistake and lack of communication

My complaint:

When I last renewed my mortgage the BMO agent recommended paying my property taxs with my mortgage. I still had the remainder of the years balance so she said well pay off with your renewal and start fresh in the new year coming off with your mortgage .Long story short they never did pay my balance off and I kept getting township notice off payment owing for about six months , each time emailing bmo .They kept saying email them the slip and they will take care of it, which I have documentation of emails. Finally I stop receiving the owing statement then a couple months later noticed my property tax portion on mortgage had doubled .since it was covid I email my concern and got nothing back . I kept emailing and finally heard back from some manager saying my emails were going to wrong department and that they wanted to make sure my concern was dealt with so again I gave all my info and they said they’ll get back to me, a week later only response I get is I’d have to go into the brach.so I finally make an appointment which in this finding out the lady i did my mortgage with had retired, during my appointment the rep I was with was confused at my predicament and had to go ask someone , eventually some guy comes in that deals with property tax and starts talking to me like I’m an idiot and explaining how payments work . I said yes I know how payments are made , why is my tax portion double, he then says we’ll you owed a balance when we took over you payments so we had to make it up. I then explained yet again what was supposed to happen . He then said well thats not how it would work, we don’t pay the township your balance if you were to do that the money would go into your account and you would gave to pay it, I said how the hell would I know that , nobody said anything to me about it and I didn’t receive any funds to do that , then he just continued on that it was my mistake and left. So all in all I was out $2100 and looking like an idiot . This process took 2 years to find this out. I found it very unprofessional and am counting the days untill I can get my mortgage and all my accounts out of there to another institution. This is not the first time I have had issues with BMO I do not recommend them to anyone .

I think originally they should have just added it to my mortgage but now I feel that they made the mistake and they should cover the cost that they did not pay in begining , whether or not it was the agents fault the agent works for them so they are responsible .
