My complaint:
On Thursday February 15th I entered a branch in downtown Los Angeles and deposited a couple checks from an employer that I separated employment with four days earlier.
The branch made no mention of any hold(s) being placed on my deposit.
Today is Tuesday the 20th and I still do not have any funds available and now have a negative account balance.
The Santa Monica branch told me that even though it has been 3 business days there is still a hold on my deposit and the hold will remain through the 27th.
I stated that this was unacceptable and requested that they call the backoffice to request a release on the deposit hold.
I have been sitting in the Santa Monica branch waiting area for over a hour and a half only to be told they cannot help.
Suggested solution:
Complete the transaction, give me my money, and terminate my account with BMO
