My complaint:

Order 554188187

I purchased a set of drinking glasses online that I decided to return. I went to return them to the Bloomingdale’s Orchard store in Skokie but due to COVID-19 they were closed, and not accepting returns. I was then informed to ship the item back UPS to Bloomingdale’s for credit. I immediately shipped it back and have the UPS ation that it was delivered. I never received credit for the item. I then started to get harassing phone calls from the Bloomingdale’s collection department overseas regarding the amount due for the glasses of $95.63. I explained to the caller that I had returned the item and did not owe the money. The caller barely spoke English and I asked him to look into the status of the return and he stated that is another department and I would need to call customer service since he was unable to transfer me to customer service.

Finally after multiple daily harassing calls from the Bloomingdale’s offshore collectors, I was able to speak with a customer service representative on shore, who fortunately spoke fluent English, and looked into the matter. She indicated that they did indeed receive the returned items and it was an error on Bloomingdale’s part that my account was not credited. I asked how long it would take to get the credit processed and she informed me it could be several days. In the meantime, I have been receiving multiple harassing phone calls from the Bloomingdale’s off shore collectors for the $95.63 which is now $125.63 due to a late fee of $30.00 for non-payment. Each time I spoke with one of the collectors hey informed me they could not stop the phone calls in their system until the credit goes through.
I have spent many, many grueling hours on the phone trying to get this issue resolved. My time is worth much more than $95.63. At this very moment my credit still has not come through for the return and I continue to get harassing phone calls from the collectors on a daily basis. This has been going on for over one month now!

This has been the most frustrating and challenging experience I have ever had with any purchase in my lifetime! I am ripping up my Bloomingdale’s credit card but want this resolved!
