My complaint:
My wife and I were passing through Bishop, California on 21 September, 2022 and we decided to stay at the Best Western. We had no reservations, but there wee vacancies at the motel. As I was registering, I asked the man who at the reservation desk if I could get the military discount (I am a retired Marine and I have a military ID verifying this). The young man stated that he knew nothing about a military discount. He turned and asked another employee at the other registration desk and she stated that she knew nothing about a military discount. We left and went elsewhere. These employees stated that they could offer me a AAA discount (I am not a member of AAA), so they ARE aware that the motel does offer discounts. I am not sure why they were unaware of a military discount, but I AM sure I will never be staying at a Best Western again, just too many other options out there.
Suggested solution:
I have already resolved my complaint by making the decision to avoid any Best Western in the future and to pass my negative experience on to others, so that hopefully they will not have a similar experience.
