My complaint:
Hello, My name is Alexandru Cazac. I want to complain about Asda Crawley store. I had several times that problem with Asda Crawley store! There is one price on the shelves and a completely different price at the checkout! I’ll report just about the last 2 times. On Tuesday 19 September 2023 I went to Asda Crawley, I wanted to buy Ristorante pizza.
On the shelves was the price any for for £5 (the picture attached) but at the till I was surprised to se the price £12! I was expecting to pay exactly how is shown the price on the shelves- £5! I went to customer service and the lady told me that 1 type of pizza is new and costs £3,50 and because I chose 2 Ristorante pizza for £3,50 each and 2 ristorante pizza for £2,50 each the total amount is £12! I said is unbelievable because on shelves no price at all of £3,50 for Ristorante pizza and I showed her the picture where is shown any 4 for £5!
She said that I need to choose different ristorante pizzas but not from new type! It’s unbelievable. Today, on Thursday 21 September 2023 I went again to Asda Crawley and wanted to buy again the ristorante pizza. I remember from last time what the lady said to chose only from old types of ristorante pizzas which is £2,50 each! Today as well on the shelves was shown the price Any 4 for £5. At the till I was surprised again! The amount to be paid was £10! The lady which was last Tuesday at customer service desk today was at the tills (self checkout) and I called her to ask what happen with the prices and I was blamed!
She was very rude and asked me: Again you??? I asked her, what do you mean again me??? I told her that the price in the shelves is Any 4 for £5! She became angry and called another lady and lady said her, any 4 Ristorante pizzas are for £5! She couldn’t say anything and asked another lady to do the changes on my bill! So, in the end I paid only £5 for 4 ristorante pizzas. My complaint and questions are: Why Asda Crawley always tries to deceive the buyer? If on the shelves the price is shown, I must to pay exactly the same amount at the till and not any penny more and to be blamed- again you?
A couple of months ago I had the same problem at Asda Crawley, I don’t remember what exactly I wanted to buy but were spices and same 2 for £3 or £2 each. At the till I was surprised when I was asked to pay £4!!! Now, after today when I was blamed as a thief i decided to complain! See attached to the email the picture where the price is shown Any 4 for £5, the receipt of suspended transaction (when I called the lady to ask why the prices are different), and receipt where the lady made the changes and sold me 3 ristorante pizzas for £1 each and 1 ristorante pizza for £2, so I paid for them £5 how is shown on the shelf!
Now I’m already afraid to go to Asda for shopping because I’m afraid of being deceived since there is one price on the shelves and much more at the checkout! This is a deception of the buyer! And I buy about £100 worth of groceries from Asda Crawley every Friday and then something small within a week! I want to see what you have to say about this or I’ll go complain to higher authorities because Asda Crawley is deceiving customers and in the end they’re still talking to me like I’m a thief! Unbelievable that this happened in the UK!

I want to see what they will answer about this case and after that I’ll decide.
