My complaint:
I bought tickets for me and my 4 kids to travel from NY to Islamabad. The airlines (Etihad) schedule was changed few weeks later after booking different date by significant delay of 24 hours which messed up my plans. I notified the agent that it creates a hardship for me. the agent Alan then agreed to a refund and said he file with the Airlines, and told me to wait it out for up 120 days from airlines. Upon cancellation, i stopped hearing from agent less and less, a lot of emails or phones went unanswered. and recently i was pushed off to different agent name Debbie, who was being dishonest in email saying i agreed with her on phone for less money offered, mind you i had her on recorded line. asaptickets, also were dishonest to my bank.
Thing i have PROOF, the agent email stating, they refund will have my refund processed. I just called Etihad Airlines today and they told me they already refunded my money back the agency that means Asap tickets just want to scam me for my hard earned money i save for my children. The airlines themselves said, they there was a long delay of 24 hours and im eligible for a refund. Asap tickets failed to honor what they had promised me on phone and on email, and i do keep all records. Im currently filing a complaint with airconsumer.gov i really hope they can resolve this in a civil way so we dont have to go this route. If any of you agree, we can take this matter further.
