My complaint:
There 2 complaints:
1. In August 2019 I booked 6 round trip tickets on Delta via ASAP Tickets from Grand Rapids, MI to Amsterdam to be flown July 3, 2020 – July 13, 2020. The EU canceled these flights because they were not allowing US travelers into the EU. I called Delta and was told there are no rebooking fees through the fall of 2022. Yet ASAP Tickets charged me $75adult and $47child ($394 total) to rebook these flights for July 2, 2021 – July 12, 2021. I didn’t want to pay the extra price, but I felt I had to in order to lock in the flights. I would like a $394 refund.
2. Also in August 2019, I booked 2 round trip tickets from Raleigh-Durham to Amsterdam for the same dates as above. These 2 people were joining the other 6 of us on a vacation in the Netherlands. Of course, these were also cancelled. These 2 have now moved to Grand Rapids, MI and I need to have their flights switched from Raleigh Durham to Amsterdam to Grand Rapids to Amsterdam along with the other 6 tickets. Again Delta tells me there are no change fees for this because they just want people to travel. ASAP Tickets is telling me there is a $500person change fee plus $184person fare difference.
I have tried numerous times with various people at ASAP Tickets to get this resolved. I have been trying since September 2020, but each time I get a different answer or a delay tactic.
Suggested solution:
In the first complaint, I want my full $394 returned in accordance with Delta's COVID 19 policy.
On the second complaint, I am willing to pay the $184person fare difference but not the $500person change fee that Delta says they do not charge. As of January 9, these two tickets still need to be rebooked.
