My complaint:

I went to AFC as a walk in due to what I believed to be an infection from a naval piercing from 6 days ago. I explained symptoms started 3 days after the piercing and explained my symptoms. The doctor stated she didn’t believe it was infected due to no red striations or markings around the piercing, though I explained my discomfort, extra warm abdomen and swelling that had gotten worse. She asked if I had a normal bowel movement that day (the day I went to AFC) and I explained yes, she didn’t ask about my bowel movements from when my symptoms started which I found off, but I told her everything else was normal. She ran a urine test to check for a bladder infection which was clean and said to go to the ER so they can scan my stomach. I went to the ER, explained everything again and he agreed it was infected. No stomach scans were done. My issue is that I do not believe the doctor heard what I was saying because I didn’t fit the typical infection in her eyes. I have the piercing out now for about 12 hours and my symptoms of swelling and discomfort are pretty much gone. Except for some swelling at the site, I feel almost all better. If I hadn’t advocated for myself, or had the money to go to urgent care AND the ER in one night, I might have gone home and continued to have an infection which could have lead to a more serious issue. I will never go back to AFC and neither will my family. We have gone there in the past and received adequate care but last night was very bad. I am uploading my intake and diagnosis from the ER and AFC as proof of going to two places, wasting my time (2.5 hours at AFC), money, and now losing confidence in your doctors there.

Suggested solution:

Refund my payment of 45.31, speak with the doctor.- if I could give 0 stars I would.
