My complaint:
Flew into and back out of Seattle on Alaska on 26th to visit a dying relative. It was chaos with cancelled flights, rebooked flights merged into my flights causing more delays and angry passengers. It was close to 100 degrees and the Anchorage flight at the gate we were going to leave from closed the doors but sat there for an hour plus while a single ground crew loaded bags an hour after they closed the doors. That is not right. Our incoming plane from San Diego sat on the tarmac in the heat for well over and hour. Had to be torture out there and dangerous if they lost power. I got home to my Boise house at 2:30 AM the next day. Stop taking booking if you do not have staff. It was a joke watching this one guy trying to load baggage all by himself.
Suggested solution:
Fire themselves. People are going to die from heat if they keep leaving planes out on the tarmac baking. Cancel flights a head of time not after everyone has arrived at the airport. SeaTac is also at fault. Not enough restaurants open. Late last night I was told at one restaurant that the only thing left to eat was a cheese sandwich. I took it. i am pissed at Alaska. More transparency would help. More workers would help. Fewer flights and leaving on time would help. Not sitting on tarmac in dangerous heat would help.
