My complaint:

I was on flight 501 coming in from Indianapolis, Indiana to Seattle on June 23, 2021. My ticket shows that I need help with wheelchair assistance while traveling. There was no wheelchair waiting for me when I got off the plane. I made it to the end of the ramp and spoke to a ticket person about getting some wheelchair assistance. It took over 40 minutes and the assistance of a manager to help me out.

My friend had to go around the airport many times to get to me. I have very weak knees and a sore hip which became very painful when I had to carry my bags from the plane to the gate.

I know it was very busy on the evening of the 23rd, but what I don’t understand is why other people had wheelchair service waiting for them but there was nothing for me.

This also happened when my flight out of Seattle to Dallas Texas to connect with American airlines to Indianapolis. I was sitting in the back of the plane so when I finally came off the plane I was told that another person demanded a wheelchair, and the wheelchair meant for me was given to them.

My name is Carole A Curtis. My account with Alaska airline is 147463971.
I am 73 years old with physical impairments. I would appreciate a response to my complaint. My email is tired49@msn.com.

Thank you, Carole A. Curtis.

Suggested solution:

I think better accounting to getting the wheelchair to all people who request them be monitored. I also feel that when Alaska Airlines goes out of their way to serve all populations for customer service, service not rendered should be compensated.
