My complaint:

I bought Aer Lingus tickets Inbound from Boston to LHR and Outbound from EDI – DUB and DUB to BOST (booking ref number: 2EV4TN). On the Inbound leg I carried 10kg of Carry on bag and there were no charges for the carryon .

On EDI to DUB leg, Aer Lingus provided ticket from a regional airline. As per the details given in the ticket as well as on the website of the airline, we carried 7Kg (reduced from 10kg allowed by AerLingus). However there was no mention of dimension on the website and regional airline did not allow me to carry my carryon bag and forced me to check in. I was charged $65/bag to check in.

I have registered my complaint with Aer Lingus and provided all the details to AerLingus. My Case ref no: 10247414

Suggested solution:

They have said it was regional airlines rules. I countered by stating that AerLingus sold me regional airline ticket and they did not provide all the details on the restrictions of the regional airline. Hence I want AerLingus to give me FULL REFUND of $350 USD.
