My complaint:
My light bill went up by 200.00 Jan 2023. The bill is only one dollar less than my house note and taxes. How is that right a light bill of almost 500.00 be as high as a house note. By the time you pay renthouse note water car note cable you cant buy food. No wonder older people end up eating dog food cat food to live . But if you on welfare section 8 you go get your bill paid by my tax money. I work never asked for help in my 60 years of life. How the world do you think the working person can live like this everything going up food everything. AEP has listed they have 1.5 million customers and if they only paid 100.00 bill each a month AEP would make 150 Hundred fifty thousand a month times 12 month would make 1,800,000.0 a year but we all know it is alot more no one has a 100.00 bill anymore so this is triple if not more of what they make.. They reported they had a 14.78% profit as of June 2021. While they killing us with high bills they paying there people outstanding salary’s and if your lights out go they don’t get them fixed for days but you don’t get a discount they don’t recover for food. And it is a shame the people that allow and approve the increase make enough money for the working people they don’t have to work about how they going to pay there bills. And the utility company knows you have to have Lights and water gas so they do what they want and they people don’t have a fighting chance. No wonder we have so many people that don’t want to work are is on state help. And of course we all know complaints don’t matter nothing is done about it
