My complaint:
We ordered a pool for the Johnson city location, they then updated our order from pick up in store via an email to the pool is unavailable so we will ship it to you instead. The pool arrived a day late, totally damaged. The box was ripped apart and Saran wrapped and had footprints all over it. They also scuffed up the side of our house, we have pictures. Called the customer service line, they sent us an email with a return label and claimed they scheduled fed ex to pick it up at our house. Friday came and went, no one showed up to pick up the pool. We called the Johnson city location back Friday evening and they told us that another shipment of pools was coming in on Monday and that they would hold one for us, offered to exchange them on Monday. Monday came, I decided to call and make sure the pool was actually there. The associate told us they had put it back on the shelf and that they were too busy to go check and see if it was still there. After holding for 20 minutes I get a manager who changed the story and claimed my wife lied to me about holding the pool until Monday, didn’t offer and restitution. Said that it was between us and Walmart.com even though we originally ordered from their store. Will be getting a straight refund from a different Walmart but this is the last time I will ever order anything of this large amount from them. 400$ currently stuck in limbo and absolutely no one will help. Not to mention the customer service line hung up on my wife when she called.
Suggested solution:
At this point what should happen is that we should get a refund for the pool. Then we should get a free pool delivered simply because of all the time wasted, the hustle, the hanging up on my wife, the manager who claims my wife was lying to me, the rude associate who wouldn’t even check on the pools, and the damage to the side of our home.
