My complaint:
I took Uber to a wedding on Saturday evening. I scheduled the round-trip several days ahead of time. It was after midnight and I was watching on the Uber app that my driver was on their way. Then all of a sudden it disappeared, there was a refund on my credit card, and the trip no longer even appears in my app for me to file a complaint against. I’m a woman who was alone, 45 minutes away from home, after midnight and I was stranded. The driver never texted me or called me or anything. And it was too late to engage another driver. Just let me in a very dangerous and precarious situation. What is wrong with people? There was not even any way for me to contact anyone for assistance from Uber.
Suggested solution:
The driver should be reprimanded for their unprofessional and reckless behavior. They should have texted or phoned me! Uber should refund the payment for the first leg of my trip and should call me with an explanation. They should take action to ensure that this never happens again.
