My complaint:
Upon making my very first complaint to Uber regarding a rude driver, the agent then proceeded to deactivate my account permanently, citing I had breached TC.
I requested cause and evidence for the accusation but they ignored the request and kept repeating themselves that this decision is final.
I reached out to them again, requesting they provide date, time, incident, etc of the accused of their TC’s. To which they responded, their decision is final.
Then I communicated with their FB page who said they will retrieve the requested information for me. A couple hours later they said they cannot help me and to refer to the previous agents email.
Obviously, it is a reaction to reporting a driver whom they’re acquainted with personally. Their staunch refusal to answer a single question or provide any proof for their accusation, shows they’re committing slander and simply sticking up for each other.
This lead to me missing a day off work as the trips had been preplanned and in my city, it is difficult to find short notice alternative transportation.
Suggested solution:
Management should investigate the accusations of the agents responsible, comprehensively read the emails and communication on their site and FB page. Further to which, they should provide me with the evidence for their accusations; stating the date, time, location it apparently occurred.
Upon doing so, they will find the accusations are false. A reinstatement of my account and an apology. Otherwise, they deserve to be sued for compensation of cancelling my account so the planned trips were cancelled, leading to me missing much of work and those hours of salary. I can provide emails and screen shots as necessary. Their management or legal department should communicate with me ASAP. I am unsure as to how that would take place via this website.
