Uber Eats complaint: Non Delivery

My complaint:

Food not delivered.
when i received the message saying that the driver was to arrive hsortly i went outside the front of the building to meet the driver, who did not show.
he then called me saying he was standing there to which i responded i could not see him nor could i see the vehicle that was listed on his uber eats profile.

once he hung up i proceeded to message him asking for his location in case he got it wrong, but he seemed to get very irate and stopped replying to my messages and did not pick up my phone calls.

shortly after the order status on the app changed to completed although he never arrived with the order.

bare in mind i even went out to the street in front of my work place to ensure he wasn’t parked along the road.

I then tried to call Uber to no avail as my order was considered completed and no longer ongoing.
i filed a complaint via the app, and got generic messages saying they could not assist any further as the driver supposedly waited for me for 12 minutes (they certainly didn’t as i was outside the address the entire time which i have CCTV to prove)

i then proceeded to call the restaurant as uber did not bother taking responsibility for their mistake and was shouted at by the restaurant staff because i was bothering them with an uber problem and they were tired of dealing with problems on the back of uber eat mistakes.

Suggested solution:

Refund to be provided ly and apologies made for treating a customer as poorly as they did.

if refund fails to arrive in my account by Friday 16th; the complaint will be escalated to the financial ombudsman.
