My complaint:
I ordered 4 containers of confetti cookie gelato. I received 4 containers of salted caramel truffle gelato. (And I cannot even eat this because I’m allergic to an ingredient in this flavor the order was over $50). I indicated on my order that if my item was out of stock I would prefer a refund, NOT a substitution. Nobody from the store attempted to reach out to me at all about substituting a different flavor, they just sent all 4 items wrong. I’ve reached out to Uber Eats via chat several times am told they cannot do anything for me.I ask for a supervisor they say they can’t do that. I ask what I can do to escalate this to someone who can help and they end the chat or they ask if they resolved my issue, I say No, and they end the chat. I was given the option to send a message have someone get back to me in 6-12 hours. So I sent the message have received no response. I tried to contact Uber Eats through Instagram. They replied told me I need to send them a DM (which I had already done). So I responded by saying I had already sent the DM it was in their inbox. However, when I go to that message thread, it says their account cannot see my message because they don’t allow messages from everybody. We found 2 separate phone ‘s to try. The first one was still Uber Eats, but it said they no longer receive calls at that ended the call. The other sounded like a scam. The merchants are making errors constantly customers are stuck footing the bill because Uber thinks the customers are asking for refunds fraudulently. Seriously, there’s just that many errors, I get surprised if we receive 2 orders in a row that aren’t wrong. It’s ridiculous. Customers are repeatedly getting stuck with wrong/missing/damaged items Uber Eats refuses to refund them now has basically made themselves completely inaccessible. I have a photo for proof that my order was 100% wrong, which I submitted to them within minutes of receiving the delivery.
