My complaint:
CITY OF VALLEJO assisted the homeless living at the bottle dump at the pumphouse by Sacramento st. due to pandemic.. we moved to this hotel last Dec,around the 13th 2020. On March 13-14,2021, flyers re PGand E doing work on the 16th of March and pay or your door stays lock. on March 15,2021, a lady rep. of hotel told everybody to live the following day and pay in advance.. At least by March 16,2021 early in the morning and not to park the cars in the parking lot. That same day City of Vallejo police or Sheriff was there in the morning and knocked on our door and said to get ready to relocate to another hotel. Hampton by Marine World , fairground. I was excited and took some of my clothes to wear since I have to go back to work ( Philco bldg maintenance) before leaving the hotel, I wrote a BIG note to hotel to not to touch my things because Im coming back to get it since our stay was good till tommorrow. After work around 830 -900 PM same day, when I went to my room with the key still working, all of my personal belongings where gone! I went straight to the office and asked the managerowner, where are all my things (off course a little bit mad but with respect) He said we threw it all out the garbage. I said what? I left a note stating I was going to come back for it plus my stay doesnt expire till the next day! He said its all in the garbage, Go and get it if you want. I said what? I got 3 laptops ONe was from my work , my brand new bike which I spend $350.00 all my clothes, my uniform from work, my food $200.00 worth , my $ 11.96 new york steak x 2 which i was ready to eat for dinner, my shop vac which I use for work,, computer pwr supplies,4 pairs of LEVIS I just purchase for work, dozen T-shirts, shoes, a bagful of recycables smash appx $30 pick it up one at a time at work,pots and pans 5 used cellphone to be sent back to P I.for my family back home,asst. shoes, sweatshirts, about 25 pair of socks, croakpot, broiler,,soap, shampoo, toiletries toothbrush, blankets , 2 tents , tarps misc. tools, paperworks , records, mail from sss , life insurance, Ca. ID wallet, yamaha keyboard,pretty much everything I own. luckyly I have my Power tools in my truck. they gave back my work laptop which they have in their possesion. obviuosly the daugther wanted it since she was the one that brought it out. also my brother had the same experience, threw everything he owned. Im sure they did that to all the people who got tranfered and I will get all their names and maybe file a class action lawsuit.. I got witnesses about all the things I had in my room. I got picture of their dumpster and I check a little bit, didnt see none of my stuff. also everything I had left was already in a bag or in a big black construction bag ready to be picked up. they should at least store it for a certain days for me to pick it up. not because we victim of homelessness they can just do this to us. it help me because it made me look for work and got hired. now I got a job and proud of myself . thanks to the city of Vallejo.
Suggested solution:
they cant, all I wanted was my personal belongings and nothing else. but since they violated my rights , putting me in a lot of stress, couldnt consentrate at work on what I do, my partner and I are arguing because she has nothing to wear.. I am a senior citizen age 65 yrs old and retired at 62 but since my finances is not enough, I had to look for work and now working as bldg maintence at Concord
