My complaint:

I’m currently a resident here at the salvation army Houston and I graduated the program about 2 months ago. I am waiting to move to transition but while staying in the main building I am being charged a extra hundred dollars with the understanding that the extra hundred dollars gives me access to meals here being that I don’t have the option to cook my own food. I have been working for about a month and a half now and because of my hours I’m not in the building during meal times. There are late plates prepared for the beneficiaries that work late but for us that have graduated and work late if there aren’t any late plates left when we get off work we are told to go buy something from somewhere else which a lot of the times I get off after curfew as I did tonight and I am not able to go back out in order to buy anything which I shouldn’t have to being that I am paying to have access to meals here in the building. If there is anything that can be done about this situation it would be much appreciated. I have done my program and I am in the process of getting my life in order, yet not eating and going to bed hungry and giving up money for something that I am not receiving. This should not be a part of my recovery.

Suggested solution:

I just want access to food when I get off work like I am paying to have.
