My complaint:
Staff member Jill who refuse too give her last name demonstrating racial discrimination on May 10, 2023 and also May 11, 2023. This came after I had spoke wit other staff members about trying too check in for assistance due too being homeless. All the other staffs were very respectful and even provided me with lunch bags and the ability too take showers daily even though they didn’t have bed space for me. And they also request that I check back at 4:30 pm daily. Because sometimes the houses members wouldn’t return at night and the results would be removing that member from the program. So it is a normal practice too have new person that’s trying too sign up with the salvation army too check with desk at the requested time too check for empty bed space. No staff had a problem but Ms. Jill . Also refused too let me shower. Threaten too keep me from enrolling in the program because I notified her I was filing a complaint for being discriminated against.
Suggested solution:
1)Asking that staff member Jill be sanction a pay cut.
2) requesting that staff member Jill be remove from front desk because of her allowing her personal issues affect communication with potential members that need help
