My complaint:

I called Salvation Army to donate many items such as small appl., furniture, clothing, nick nacks, pictures, bikes and more. All in very good condition some clothing brand new. The first call made was approx 3 weeks ago and the womans name is Marissa. i talked with her about the donations and set up a pick up for a week later. I called her back a few days later to let her know i had more items to be donated. She said she had no record of my pick up. What? She did try to put the blame elsewhere and i said am i speaking to Marissa she said yes and i told her i booked this pick up with you. She said she needed to call me back. She did a few hours later and i rescheduled for today Friday 3-26-21 with a window of time from 10-4. which was very hard but i was willing to change my schedule to get this donation completed. This morning 3-26-21 day of pick up i called Marissa@ 772-742-8656 once @ 8:09am once @ 9:08am and left 2 messages as no one picked up phone. I had never given her my cell phone prior only landline so on 2 messages I left cell and asked her to call me and to give the drivers who would be picking up my cell phone number so i wouldn’t miss them. No one ever called. I waited all day and at approx 3:30pm I then called Salvation Army to find out what’s going on are they coming or what? I called 8 times with no answer or call back from anyone! Later i learned they had come to our community but were not let in because the drivers did not call me on my cell therefore i didn’t call our security to allow access for them. I am very saddened by this lack of miscommunication and work ethic by Salvation Army employees. I am sure there there is great need for these items we are trying to donate and are many people who could benefit from all the items i have here. Not to mention it is all sitting all over my house waiting to be picked up.

Suggested solution:

They should resolve my complaint by picking up the donations expediently now and doing due diligence for this situation as this has been quite an inconvenience for us
