My complaint:
On October 23, 2020 I was told that my refrigerator ( a purchase of over $2000) was to be delivered between 12:30 to 4:30. Since I have no one else to remain at my home to wait for it, I had to take a day off from work. I live in a rural area and there are no homes even visible from my home. I checked with the text I received on my cell phone and saw that when I went to the site it directed me to that there were 9 deliveries before me. I checked the site all day and it kept saying the same thing. Well after 4:30 I called the 800 number in the text and a message said my refrigerator was still on the truck and they were on their way. I called several times. Then about 7 pm. I called the Greensburg store. I was given the contractor’s number that was responsible for the delivery. They said that because I did not answer the phone they did not deliver. I have a cell phone and reception in my area is hit and miss. They said my voicemail was full. Even if it wasn’t full I may have not gotten the message till going to work the next day. I then called the Greensburg store and talked to the manager in charge and he said he would see what he could do and have someone call me the next day. No one called me, so I called and Dave the manager basically told me there is nothing he could do and it is my fault for not answering the phone. He implied he did not care. He said they only deliver on Friday’s to my area. So this Friday I have to be at work 12:15. I asked the delivery contractor if they could assure me a morning delivery. I also gave him a second number to call. I have been upset since 1023 and appalled at the customer service. I work for Macy’s in Greensburg. If I treated a customer as I was treated I would be fired. I usually deal with Lowe’s and when I went to Home Depot and Ed Snyder the employee who helped me order the refrigerator was so nice and helpful I thought I made a good decision.
Suggested solution:
I lost one day of work and may lose another day on Friday. I will be losing over $200. Reduce the price of the appliance. The manager Dave was very rude and did not offer to help me. I want an apology
