My complaint:
The sale on pre packaged meat has forced me to return to find a butcher shop where I can view what I’m getting. About every six weeks I’d buy a chuck roast and have the stop and shop butcher grind it for me (excellent burgers) but now I can’t see how much fat is in the meat and the butcher always has an excuse why he can’t do it. Yesterday I needed chicken. I always buy Perdue. I was looking for a few packages and the butcher standing next to me told me it all just came in so it’s all the same. Apparently he didn’t like me looking at the chicken. The chicken was wet, a package was broken when I told him he just shrugged it off.
Suggested solution:
If I was the store manager I’d listen to my loyal customers. I may be in the minority about pre packaged meat luckily I can shop at Wegmans where the customer is a priority. I have no problem driving 25 minutes to a great store.
As for the butcher I’d keep him in the back room not allowing him to interact with customers. He’s not a good face of Stop and Shop.
