My complaint:

Stop and Shop on Wednesday August 4th charged me 3 times for my one purchase. What happened was stuck my debit card in, entered pin number, about a minute later said Error Authorizing transaction So I went to do it again, same thing. So I then stuck my Credit card in went right through. I get home, and I check my bank app the charge of 28.21 from Stop and Shop is pending twice and the amount available in my account reflected that. At around 3am it went from pending to posted for both of them.

I go to Stop and shop customer Service Thursday at around 820pm after I get out of work and show the lady my phone how I was charged 3 times she tried to talk to me like I was stupid and telling me the receipt would say Declined twice and my money was just on hold, not taken out even though I know the difference between pending, on hold and posted. Said it would probably be in my account by midnight.

Friday the 6th in the AM I go to my bank who in fact gave me a print out saying no, this was in fact charged twice, bring this to them and they gave me a print out. I go to Stop and Shop ask to speak to a manager who then tells me they were having Debit issues Wednesday the 4th, but heaven forbid they look up by my stop and shop card and give me my money that it took them 2 minutes to take away from me. Nope, Had to fill out paperwork, and they would contact me. It is now the 11th, Was not contacted, Money not in my account. This is ridiculous! Should get something extra as an apology since I should not have to wait this long for their mistake, or their computers mistake. Would her be even worse if I was a single parent with no credit or other income and needed formula for my kid. But still, I work two jobs, very hard for my money and put in 60 hours a week,I don’t have time to deal with this crap to get my MONEY BACK.!

Suggested solution:

Want my Money back which would be 56.42 since they charged me 3 times and only one would be legit, an apology and maybe a gift card or something to make up for being talked to like I was stupid the first time and made to wait so long.
