Stop and Shop complaint: Bad Management

My complaint:

I used to love shopping here. After my last experience I would advise people to stop shopping here (pun intended).

They have so few cashiers and if you do a week’s worth of shopping there isn’t enough space to self checkout.

One time I was online and a new register was opening up, I went to go on that line and was told no, next on line.

Another day I’m next on line and the manager comes over and takes the person behind me. I said excuse me I’m next on line. She says oh you have to many groceries. Really? So I guess at Stop and Shop the more you buy actually works against you.

Instead of trying to help the only slow cashier that was open, they take the person behind me again and I end up online for 10 minutes while the people after are taken care of.

I call customer care to advise them of the poor way the store handles check out. I am told someone will get back to me within 48 to 72 hours. A week goes by, no call. I call again and ask to be escalated, again no call. I call a third time, and now await a promised call by the end of the day.

I really don’t think they care what their customers think. They won’t give out any names of a person in charge of customer care. Convenient way to avoid getting feedback.

Don’t worry Stop Shopping, there are so many other places to shop —-Aldi, Lidl, Fresh Market, Shopright, FreshGrocer, Whole Foods, Stew Leonard’s, Trader Joe’s, ACME, Uncle Guiseppis, Kings and Wegman’s.

I will be spending my money elsewhere. Thanks for making it clear that you have no regard for your customers.

Suggested solution:

I provided two opportunities to resolve. I will never shop at a Stop and Shop again. I will also dissuade my friends and family from patronizing a store that treats customers so badly.
