My complaint:
My son started at this ShopRite in February 2021. He was a HS Senior and could work after school. Everything was fine until his spring sportcrew was given the green light to start with COVID restrictions. He gave his sports schedule to the office and told them he couldn’t work at 3:45 anymore, it would have to be anytime after 6. Well, that didn’t happen. They kept scheduling him right after school or during school hours. He would call about the schedule and completely get ignored and then someone else would call him to find out why he wasn’t at work. What? So, he sent the schedule again, and again. Finally, someone put 2 and 2 together. So he got scheduled later and not during school. Since I have been shopping at this particular Shop Rite for the last 20 yrs, I know they have hired other HS Seniors, so I know that they should be used to kids having to switch their schedules for Graduation, Prom, Senior Events that happen for them. In this case we also had a car parade due to COVID. Anyway, my point is they should be somewhat flexible with HS Seniors knowing that after graduation, it all ends and they are fully available. So, my son decided to just give his 2 weeks since it just wasn’t working out, that was fine. Except when he went to pick up his last paycheck on Saturday 626 at 7pm. The manager Olga REFUSED to give him his last check. Really? She told him you don’t work here anymore. Again, really? He persisted, she gave him his check. So I would like to put on record that Olga should consider herself lucky if I don’t pay her a visit. How DARE she treat someone like that. She should be in any position of customer service and I think she should be fired. This ShopRite leadership needs a lot of work.
