My complaint:
My prescription was sent in advance of my last one running out on Oct 23. I came into the pharmacy on Sept 9 informing them it was sent early. I was told that it would not have been an issue because they keep all most recent files or faxes. Apparently this was not the case regarding my prescription as they could not find any such fax or info. This is the first time Im having my meds sent to this location so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I called my doctor early the next day and mentioned that their fax was not sent. They checked their history and assured me that it was sent to the correct SDM location but I said fine thats ok and could they please re send it. They did and I waited til the evening so that enough time passes so they can receive the fax. Now as I return to again try to get my medication Im told ONCE again that there was no fax sent. I told them I talked to my doctors office that morning and was assured it was sent. All they did was tell me well we have nothing under your name or DOB so we cant help you. Wtf!! Why do I always have problems with SDM pharmacies and them having some inept kind of filing or logging system. So I just got off the phone w/my doctors office now and they just re faxed the same prescription AGAIN. I would double check and call them first but for the past few days Ive been trying to but no one like literally no one answers the phone Ive tried at different hours and still no one answers the phone all they do is keep pressing the hold button so your just waiting and waiting. Currently this is the closest SDM to me which is still about a half and hour walk. I have a bad heart condition I run out of breathe every 20 – 30 steps that I would need to just stop for a few mins. So as you can imagine it takes me a lot longer than usual to get to wherever I need to go. So now this will be the 3rd time Im going back to this INCOMPETENT pharmacy. Its a simple fax a piece of paper. What in the world are they doing over there that they lose such important documents or they mis file them or throw them out or hell who the heck knows. One would think when your health is in the hands of others those others would actually assist you appropriately or know how to be efficient at their work or that a person could even be able to rely on them considering it your health at stake here. Like for crying out loud either file/input documents correctly have a stronger customer service relation that actually seems interested and/or is helpful and like maybe answer the phone. Thats what its there for.
Suggested solution:
Hire better more competent people.
