Shoppers Drug Mart complaint: Delayed Meds

My complaint:

Twice now I’ve attempted to fill a medication, that despite a week between applying for a refill and needing to pick up the refill, they have not had the medication for me on time. This last time, they did not make me aware they did not have the med and it would be late. I need a medication to be administered by injection every 28days by a physician, and that requires an apt with that physician and twice they’ve delayed this med and compromised my medical treatments. They are aware I will need multiple refills but do not get enough in the store for the next refill. This last attempt they told me to go find it somewhere else. I do not have a copy of the RX, or I would HAPPILY take my business elsewhere, somewhere that isn’t challenging my healthcare. But since they have the RX they are responsibly for it and should have the medication when needed.

Suggested solution:

Have the right amount of medications needed for a prescription - I have 6 refills, so get 6 medications when you see the RX or have a schedule for ordering so that you aren't ordering the med after I attempt to fill it. Have a contingency in place that if there is an error the responsibility falls on the store to acquire that med, not the customer running around to other pharmacies that do not have the RX on file.
